Sacco Italy impose more charges on their products

We are sorry but we have received latent notice of further charges by Sacco Italy on all their product range> Please see notice below:

Dear Valued Customer,
For some time now the manufacturing environment in Europe and indeed the world has and
continues to be dramatically challenged by a compound global energy supply crisis with
unpredictable pressure on supply chains, raw materials, and energy costs.
As a manufacturer of biological ingredients Sacco is not immune from these challenges,
experiencing dramatic increases in raw materials and energy costs, especially for gas, electricity,
and oil. This has led to unsustainable production cost increases that has resulted in a review of the
commercial and operational positions.
During 2022 we have seen:
 Electricity costs rising more that 450% in the last quarter
 Gas prices increases 15-fold when compared to 2021
 Average raw material costs increase 10-20%
 Transport and related costs continuing to increase
As a supplier we continue to focus on supporting the market and our customers for the long term
and we continue to work towards implementing policies and projects to mitigate and improve
some of the above issues as well as exploring additional strategies to reduce the volatility across
our business. Nevertheless, the impact of the upward cost pressure remains significant. Sacco has
elected to absorb most of the cost increases in support of our valued customers however as we
remain dedicated to quality, customer service and flexibility we have decided to implement a
temporary surcharge which will be applicable effective immediately for all non-confirmed orders.
Whilst the team at Sacco has made every effort to mitigate these cost increases, effective
immediately a surcharge of +10% will be applied to all orders processed and will be included in the
invoice as a separate line item for all new sales orders that are not yet confirmed, existing orders
will be honored at the current price levels. Given these exceptional circumstances and the
continued market volatility, the adoption of this energy surcharge will remain in place until further
review in January 2023.

As a commercial customer please be aware that we will have to pass on these imposed charges. Regretfully.
